ZEAL is to be a brand that represents the best youth events, youth leadership training and development programmes in New Zealand
Vision Statement:
To build a culture of excellence and a community of encouragement for teenagers, in the heart of the capital.
Objectives:
- To become the brand that represents the best youth events, youth leadership training, and youth development programs in New Zealand.
- To build a place of influence in the 13 central city high schools.
- To provide a safe, inner city venue (Drug and Alcohol free) as a resource for a wide range of youth events.
- To work closely with council, government, and local businesses to showcase local, national and international talent.
- To provide opportunities for young people to become the leaders of tomorrow through seminars, leadership conferences and “how to” workshops.
Outcomes:
To be in contact with 20,000 young people on a regular basis through the schools of Wellington, allowing Zeal to:.
Encourage the young people of Wellington through
- leadership training
- opportunities to perform and volunteer at events
- mentoring and coaching groups
Equip the young people of Wellington by staging
- social events
- school balls
- New Year’s events
- back to school dance parties
- youth gatherings
Develop the young people of Wellington through
- music tuition classes
- talent spotting
- event management training courses
- leadership training
- light and sound engineering workshops
